Content Update


For Rivals 2's April 2026 "Fun-for-All" update, I was responsible for the full-development stack (minus art) for the headline casual content. This included:

Items
  • 20 new Smash-Bros-style items.
  • Design and implementation for each, including any new mechanics or engine features required.
  • The underlying architecture supporting items in the first place.
  • (And down the road, Steam Workshop support for custom items.)
Casual Stages
  • 10 new casual stages, each with a unique gimmick or mechanic.
  • Similar to items, I owned the full design and implementation process for these.

In addition to the full design and implementation, I also worked with art and sound to concept the visuals and provide the necessary engine hooks for any custom gameplay-to-visual bindings required by tech-art.
